My name is Anna Magle-Haberek, but students call me Mrs. MH. I am thrilled to be working at STEM as Assistant Director supporting Middle School students, families and teachers. I have been at STEM since August of 2018 in a variety of positions including teaching Middle School PE, high school Health and Psychology, Instructional Coach and Athletic Director. It is with joy and excitement that I step into a role primarily supporting the middle school and continuing my work supporting high school athletics.
I grew up in Colorado and went to High School in Littleton, CO. I was a 4 sport high school athlete, including a Colorado State Champion in Track and Field. I earned a bachelors degree at the University of Colorado in Kinesiology and Psychology - I also competed for 4 years for the Buffs including winning a Big 12 Championship in Track and Field.
I earned a masters (MS) degree in Kinesiology at the University of New Hampshire, which is where I learned that I love teaching and working with young people. I have worked in teaching in a variety of ways from coaching, to being an educational Park Ranger, to teaching swimming and PE at a residential high school. I have worked in professional devleopment in a variety of ways including designing and leading conferences and working with schools within Colorado and nationally.
My husband is a therapist, and we live with our two children - my son is a second grader at STEM, and my daughter is still a little too young (STEM class of 2034!) We love to run, bike, hike, swim, garden, and generally be active.
While I begin my administrative role at STEM I will continue to teach my existing classes in Psychology, Healthy Decisions, and Physical Education. Email is the best way to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
- I look forward to working with you!
