2nd Grade Homeroom - Ms. Silvaggio’s Class May 4th-8th
The assignments on May 7th are all optional. We are trying to provide some typical work for students if they desire a more normal school day. I also created assignments that can be used for the STEM Shares goal of helping others.
I included a playdough island activity that can be completed on the 7th, or any other day, or not at all. I think some students might enjoy completing a hands-on activity. You can use store bought playdough, or make your own, I like this recipe for Homemade Playdough. I attached the planning page for the island - no need to print, students can just draw their plan in their notebook or on blank paper. Then they can build their island out of playdough, and even label different landforms with paper and toothpicks. Again, this is totally optional. If you choose to complete it, I hope your child can enjoy some creative fun!
Specials this week: Chinese
Ms. Neuman will send assignments through email.
I would like students to check out this website and play with it this week. Maybe look at the “Activities” and “Student Book” Chapter 3.
Each student will use their school email and password to log in:
Student email: email@example.com
Password: student name followed by 12345
Optional Idea for students:
One of Ms. Slater’s close friends works at a nursing home and she said the residents would love some positivity right now. If students want to write a note, write a story, or draw a picture for them that would be wonderful. This would be a fun activity if the students are interested. If they are typed they can email them to firstname.lastname@example.org (subject line: Ms. Slater's Class)
or they can mail them to
