I am excited to be an Engineering Teacher here at the STEM School Highlands Ranch.
I am a 3rd generation Colorado native and have been married to my wife Betsy since 1997. Together we have twin boys & 2 dogs. Family is always my first priority.
My outside interests include camping/hiking, biking, skiing, woodworking and travel. In addition I am passionate (obsessed) about woodturning and automobiles.
I received my bachelor’s degree from Western State Colorado University, was certified to teach at Metropolitan State University of Denver and received my Master’s Degree thru Lesley University.
I started teaching in the Cherry Creek School District but moved to Jefferson County Schools after only 2 years. I remained at the same school in Jeffco for 18 years teaching Technology Education and my last 10 years I ran the Technology Student Association (TSA) where my students have won numerous state and national awards.
I have been an Engineering Teacher and TSA Advisor at STEM School Highlands Ranch since 2013 and I look forward to continuing this success by teaching and inspiring students to keep reaching for the next level using critical thinking skills, problem solving and of course, always innovating.
I hope that you are as excited as I am to be a part of this school!
