I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia and went to college at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. In college, I spent the bulk of my time studying Mathematics and playing Ultimate Frisbee. After college, I spent 3 years doing environmental clean up work. Specifically, I worked on a project cleaning an old chemical facility in the Meadowlands of New Jersey and starting a plastic recycling plant in Atlanta. After several years of environmental work, I decided my passion was in teaching. My wife and I moved to Denver 2011, and I started teaching in the Montebello neighborhood of the Denver public schools. In 2013, I started teaching at STEM School and running the Minecraft and Board Game Clubs. In my spare time I like to play Ultimate Frisbee, hike and travel. I have been to 48 states (North Dakota and Oregon).
