My name is Kandace Lytle and this is my first year as the College & Career Counselor at STEM!
Originally, I am from Houston, Texas. I attended Southwestern University for my undergraduate degrees in English, Philosophy, and Dance. After graduating from SU, I attended Texas State University for my MA in Literature & MA in Applied Philosophy & Ethics. Prior to working at STEM, I was a College & Career Readiness Advisor in Texas. I've taught at both the high school and college levels in the Humanities, as well professional development to teachers K - 12 while working as a district-level teacher development specialist and facilitator.
In my spare time, I am a freelance writer, published author, improv & stand-up comic, yoga instructor, chef-in-training, cat mom, and live music enthusiast. I hope to instill a love for the humanities and arts in our STEM students!
